96 minutes, Switzerland, 2017 Film, Club, Subtitled. Nora is a young housewife and mother, living in a quaint little village in Switzerland with her husband and their two sons. The rural area is untouched by the major social upheavals the revolutionary movement of 1968 has brought about elsewhere. Nora's life is not affected either; she is a quiet person who is liked by everybody–until she starts to publicly fight for womens suffrage, which the men are due to vote on in a ballot. Ennis Trad Fest 2018

“A festival for musicians, run by musicians” is the ethos at the heart of Ennis Trad Fest, according to its organising committee.
This year Ennis Trad Festival, to be held from Thursday November 8th to Monday November 13th in the county town. A packed itinerary of traditional arts events is planned by the organisers, combining a mix of formal concerts, a free ‘Session Trail’ throughout the town, instrument master classes, a Céili, CD launches, Sean Nós and Set Dancing classes, a Trad Disco, the Trad 4 Teens programme, plus a Traditional Music table quiz.
The Session Trail is a mainstay of the festival, taking place in the bars and restaurants of Ennis, with eighty plus sessions of the highest quality traditional music, featuring two hundred and fifty musicians, and all are free to attend. See for full programme of events.

Connect - Yarn Evenings

Yarn Evenings are a monthly social get together, where everyone is welcome and where stories are shared, voices are heard and plans are made. These evenings will facilitate an opportunity to bring communities together in the sharing of knowledge and stories. The evenings will be led by Zara Starr, actor and theatre maker with The Unlimited Dream Machine Theatre Company (The UDM). Zara will engage in a six month Participatory Art residency from October 2018 – March 2019, seeking out potential collaborators and planning artistic responses to the West Clare environment through workshops, research and meetings with the community, history and architecture of this region. Brian O’Shaughnessy born in 1965 attended Tuamgraney National School where he first became interested in drawing. Brian went on to attend Scarriff Community College and continued with his drawing. In 2009, he applied to and was accepted on the Art and Design course at Limerick College of Further Education where he successfully completed FETAC levels 5 and 6 in 2010 and 2011. Brian has exhibited in galleries in Scarriff, Kilkee and Ennis and he took part in a group exhibition in Limerick. For the past two years Brian has concentrated on original works of which form this exhibition. He is a member of Visual Artists Ireland.
