It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s pack as the monsters indulge in all of the onboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and topping up their moon tans. But they hit rocky waters when Mavis realises that Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could sink their plans for a dream holiday. Children's Movie: Finding Dory - A Summer Stars event

Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Seed Planting Workshop – A Summer Stars Event

You are warmly invited to come along and join in our fun and informative workshop exploring together with our senses the sunny qualities of our very common and beautiful Calendula flower. Did you know we can make soothing teas and chilled drinks from the petals that help keep our skin healthy? Come along and plant seeds in a pot to take home with you so you can see the sunny Calendula grow and bloom for months to come. We'll learn to identify the seeds so you can harvest them and share them with your friends and family. You can make your very own Calendula bookmark to keep that sunshine energy close to hand when you're enjoying a good book during the darker winter months. Who knows, we might even get to taste something delicious made with Calendula?

The Apollo 11 Moon Landing and the East Clare connection: a talk by John J.
Kelly
Scariff Public Library at 7pm

Scariff Library is delighted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing with a special talk by retired aerospace engineer John J. Kelly. John will present a fascinating talk on his role as the leader of the manufacturing team responsible for safely lifting Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin off the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission. John will also discuss his Irish heritage and his father's formative years in East Clare.

Movie Screening for Feile Brian Boru: Erik the Viking

Erik the Viking is a 1989 British comedy-fantasy film written and directed by Terry Jones. A Viking with a conscience, Erik (Tim Robbins), tires of pillaging and decides to set out on a quest. When the wise Freya (Eartha Kitt) informs Erik that a great mythic wolf has eaten the sun, the warrior resolves to venture to Asgard, home of the Norse gods, to set things right. Before Erik can reach Asgard, he and his allies must first find a magical horn that resides in the land of King Armulf (Terry Jones), who luckily for the hero, has a lovely daughter, Princess Aud (Imogen Stubbs).
