Between January and April 2005, the clients of Ennistymon Hospital and Daycare Centre were invited to take part in a reminiscence project called Preserving the Past for the Future. This was a partnership project between Clare Museum, Scoil Mhuire in Ennistymon and the Hospital
Clients were invited to bring in family heirlooms, or objects that represented the lives or achievements of either themselves or their relatives, and to recall memories associated with them. This information was then recorded, either by the curator or the transition year students at Scoil Mhuire, and photographs were taken for posterity.
