Summary Excavation of a shallow layer of marshy discoloured soil on outcropping limestone pavement revealed three small spreads of discoloured and burnt soil. These deposits, that had been uncovered in earlier testing, were shown to be non-archaeological and the nature of the location makes the survival of original levels or features of archaeological significance unlikely.
