Archaeological excavations took place along the route of the N18 Ennis Bypass and the N85 Western Relief Road in late 2003 and early 2004. The archaeological excavation and post-excavation work were funded by Clare County Council through the National Roads Authority and part-financed by the European Union under the National Development Plan 2000-2006. The excavations were undertaken by TVAS Ireland Ltd, Ahish, Ballinruan, Crusheen, Co. Clare. Summaries and final archaeological reports detailing the results of 27 excavations are available here as pdf files by clicking on the Site No. The reports are illustrated with photographs and drawings. The reports are copyright of TVAS (Ireland) Ltd but may be copied for bona fide research purposes. Clare County Library is grateful to TVAS (Ireland) Ltd. for supplying us with this material.
