h. Jean Mary (Jeannie) Fairbairn was born in 1922 at Kensington, Victoria.

Jeannie, who had been ill for 14 days, was admitted to Queen's Memorial Infectious Diseases Hospital, Fairfield, Victoria, on 27 Jun 1924 with Whooping cough, she was treated in hospital for 69 days before her death (Record of Patients of Queen's Memorial Infections Diseases Hospital (later known as Fairfield Infectious Diseases Hospital), Patient No 48849, GSV, website).

Jeannie died of Whooping cough and broncho pneumonia on 1 Sep 1924, aged 2, in the Yarra Ward, Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yarra Bend, Victoria, she had been ill for 11 weeks, her usual address was recorded as 18 Waltham St, Newmarket (Vic Death Certificate No 9233). She was buried on 2 Sep 1924 at Coburg, Victoria, in the family grave with her sister Annie and brother Henry David (Fawkner Crematorium and Memorial Park, website).
