Feenagh Parish
1901, Vol. V (1), part 1 Inside the church, at S.-E. angle, is a singular tomb, whose inscription has apparently confused the owner’s parents, and made other mistakes:? 1. “To the memory of ITLAGH | HENSEY who deced Janry [sic] 7 | 1717 aged 187 His father MARY | who died March 10th 1748 Aged | 65 His mother DONOGH Drowned | June 6, 1739 aged 27 his brother | & MARGT wife of PETER HENCHY | Deceased July 4 1760 Aged 51 His sister.” Probably his father is not named; Mary is his mother; Donagh his brother; and Margaret is evidently his sister. 2. “MICHAEL CUSACK in memory of his father DANIEL died 5th Nov 1788 aged 63” 3. “JNO GARVEY died 11th June 1793 aged 53 by his wife MARY GARVEY alias BURKE.” 4. “JNO GARVEY in memory of his wife CATHERINE
GARVEY alias ROUINE who died Dec 17th 1776.” |
