Clare County Library

The Association for the Preservation of the Memorials of the Dead, Ireland, published annual journals between 1888 and 1934 which contain details of gravestone inscription throughout Ireland. The inscriptions were submitted by voluntary contributors. Entries are arranged alphabetically by county and subdivided by parish, also in alphabetical order. The inscriptions given here relate to county Clare and are taken from volumes I to IX, covering the period 1888 to 1916. Data from different volumes relating to particular parishes has been gathered together, and a surname index is also provided.
