Miltown Malbay National School Roll Books
The National School in Miltown Malbay to which these rolls relate was built in 1860 on the Ennistymon Road and eventually contained boys’, girls’ and infants’ schools. The school was replaced in 1963 by a new school on the Mullagh Road. Clare County Library is grateful to the principal of Miltown Malbay National School, Aidan Looney, its Staff and Board of Management for lending us these roll books for transcription. This transcription is in memory of Patrick Toomey Senior, The Crescent, Miltown Malbay who preserved and safeguarded the school's roll books for seventy years.
