Miltown Malbay National School
The National School in Miltown Malbay to which these rolls relate was built in 1862 on the Lahinch Road and eventually contained boys’, girls’ and infants’ schools. The school was replaced in 1964 by a new school on the Mullagh Road. Clare County Library is grateful to the principal of Miltown Malbay National School, Aidan Looney, its Staff and Board of Management for lending us these roll books for transcription. The roll books were transcribed by Brian Doyle and Peter Beirne of Clare County Library's Local Studies Centre.
