The United Irishmen of North West Clare, 1798

Following the United Irishmen Rebellion in Clare in 1798, a number of depositions naming the insurgents in North West Clare were taken in Ennistymon, in January 1799. Those who gave the depositions are grouped and numbered, 1 to 8, below. In the list of insurgents, the numbers in the D N (Deposition Number) field are used to indicate which group named which insurgent.
