Clare History: The Abbey of Inisgad (Canons’ Island), Co. Clare by Michael Mac Mahon

The substantial Abbey on Inisgad (Canons’ Island) in the river Fergus was established at the end of the 12th century for Canons Regular of the Rule of St Augustine.
