Clare Castle

The Prospect of ye Castle of Clare towards the Town of Clare, in the sayd County, and from the Road leading to Ennish Town

in the sayd County, and from the Road leading to Ennish Town.

The Lord Ireton and Sr Charles Coot, in the year 1651, beseiged and took this Castle of Clare, and the most considerable pass in the Countrey, whence they then sent a summons to the City of Galloway.
