The Earl of Thomond’s 1615 Survey of Ibrickan, County Clare,

Presented here is a transcription and discussion of a survey of the Barony of Ibrickan in 1615. The document represents the earliest rent-roll detailing the Earl of Thomond’s estate in the barony and lists its chief tenants. The barony consisted of the parishes of Kilmurry Ibrickan, Killard and Kilfarboy. This article was first published in the North Munster Antiquarian Journal vol. 53, 2013, pp. 173-191.
