Ennistymon Plaques and Memorials

In the town of Ennistymon are scattered some inscriptions carved in stone, memorials to people and institutions alike, which bear silent testimony to aspects of the history of this North Clare town.

This information is provided as a means of highlighting the locations of these plaques and memorials - some of which are not immediately obvious - and to give a background to the moments in history which caused them to be erected in the first place.
