Creative Ireland

Cruinniú na nÓg 2021

Cruinniú na nÓg will take place on Saturday, 12th June. Cruinniú na nÓg is an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme supported by Clare County Council, Local Authorities and RTÉ. It is one of 18 actions of Creative Youth – a plan to enable the creative potential of every child and young person.

Voice of the Child

Creative Ireland Clare welcomes children to tell us what creative things you like to do. We will gather up all your ideas so that your voice – what you would like to do and try – will help us all think of some great things to do for Cruinniú!

You can give feedback online to the Chatbot at: Cruinniú na nÓg or download a posters and email them back to us at creativeireland@clarecoco.ie

The Creative Ireland Programme is a national culture based programme designed to promote individual, community and national well-being. The central vision of Creative Ireland is that every person living in Ireland will have the opportunity to fully realise his or her creative potential. The focus of Clare County Council is on Creative Ireland's Pillar 2 'Enabling Creativity in Every Community'. The Clare vision is “to ensure the people of Clare discover and have access to cultural expression through creative activity”.

Projects will be co-ordinated by the Culture Team of Clare County Council which includes staff from Clare County Library, Clare Museum, Clare Arts Office, glór, the Rural Development Directorate, Tourism Section and Local Enterprise Office as well as the Heritage Officer, Conservation Officer and Archivist. Cruinniú na nÓg, a Day of Youthful Creativity, is one of Creative Ireland's initatives.

Helen Walsh, County Librarian, is Co-ordinator of the Creative Ireland Clare programme.
