Clare County Council wins Association of Irish Festival Events award as most supportive Local Authority in Ireland for its involvement in the Ennis Book Club Festival.

BorrowBooks.ie allows you to search across the Irish public libraries’ online catalogues to locate and request an item which is not held in your own library service. BorrowBooks.ie is an initiative of the Irish public libraries, supported by An Chomhairle Leabharlanna and the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and funded by the Information Society Fund.
Lifesteps Project launched: The Lifesteps project was launched by Mr. Dick Roche TD, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, on the 3rd of October 2005 in the Custom House in Dublin. Lifesteps is an initiative of Irish public libraries and is funded by the Information Society Fund, through the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. The Lifesteps project consists of 17 guides, which explain how to achieve various life steps using the Internet. These guides are also available on the project website www.lifesteps.ie
