Clare County Library: Library Sites Development

On Tuesday 1st April 2003, Kildysart Public Library re-opened in spacious accomodation in the new community college in Kildysart, with a totally separate entrance leading to a newly furnished, well-stocked branch library equipped with four free access Internet PCs. Opening hours have also been extended to take full advantage of the enhanced service to the people of Kildysart and its hinterland.

On Friday 21st February 2003,
Kilmihil Public Library was moved from the Vocational School to a new site in Kilmihil Community Centre, which is located in the centre of the village. The branch library is now situated in a bright, newly furnished room at the front of the Community Centre.

Parteen & Scariff
Discussions are taking place with the local communities in Parteen and
Scariff with a view to providing a modern library facility in each of these areas.
