Clare County Library's website is the most popular local authority online service in the country, a recent survey has found.

Ranked at number 64, www.clarelibrary.ie is also the only public library to be included in the listing of 340 Irish sites and finishes ahead of such popular domains as aerlingus.com, paddypower.com and vodafone.ie.

The listing has been generated on www.top100ireland.com based on the amount of mentions each website address receives in multiple Internet searches. Over two million worldwide have logged on to the website since it went live in 1998.
