Website to Welcome its Two Millionth Visitor

The website of Clare County Library will shortly be welcoming its two millionth visitor. The website, which continues to be heavily used by people all over the world, has proved very popular with the people of Clare, and figures show that service and usage continues to grow.

The introduction of free Internet throughout the branch library network in 2001, ensures there is no digital divide in Clare. Figures indicate that hours booked in the first quarter of 2006 are already up 10% on the same period last year and up 120% on the same period in 2001. During this year, the number of hours of Internet usage will pass the 600,000 mark.
