There by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick

Published by Roaring Book Press, 2009

Everything about this latest picture book by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick is simply beautiful the cover, the end papers and the beautiful illustrations contained within. It leaves the older reader in no doubt that a picture paints a thousands words and on the simplest level it is a delightful story to share with your pre-schooler. It is no surprise that it has been short-listed for the 2010 Bisto Book of the Year Awards.

A little girl asks when will she get There? How will she know? Will she be really BIG, There? And what type of shoes she should wear? How will she manage if there are dragons There?

By joining her on her journey your little one will talk about life in the town and life in the country, the beauty of nature and the diversity of the weather. On her quest for There, the little girl raises many doubts, even fears typical of her age, but reassuringly decides at the end not to go today. Leaving is for tomorrow when she’s less busy!

Marie Louise Fitzpatrick is an award-winning author best known for her picture books such as You, Me and the Big Blue Sea and I’m a Tiger Too.
She will visit branches of Clare County Library in October to promote her new book Timecatcher for older children.
