Book Club
Almost
every member of the club agreed this was a brilliant read. Children
ranging in age from 8 to 13 read the book and gave it marks of eight
out of ten.
Favourite parts:
Holly's journey to Earth on the pod. When she asks Foaly the Centaur
about the stain on the Pod's seat she is told; "Erm...brain
fluid, I think. We had a pressure leak on the last mission. But
that's plugged now. And the Officer lived. Down a few IQ points,
but alive and he can still take liquids."
Favourite
characters
Butler is a favourite character because of his amazing strength.
He demonstrates how strong he is when he takes out the entire LEP
Retrieval Squad.
Holly,
another favourite character is the heroine of the book for many
children. She is kind, courageous and with Artemis has one of the
biggest parts to play in the book.
Everyone
likes Foaly the Centaur for the constant humour he provided in the
book.
The
language in the book is different and does take a while to get used
to.
