This charming
Dr Seuss classic is about the grumpy Grinch and his plan to steal
Christmas.
The Grinch hates Christmas and hates to hear the noise, merriment
and singing of the Who’s of the town of Whoville. He is determined
to stop Christmas and disguises himself as Santa and his dog Max
as a reindeer, and steals all the Who’s Christmas presents
and food. But his plan doesn’t work out as he imagined. The
Grinch finds out that Christmas arrives no matter what he does and
learns how to enjoy the season.
The children
would recommend this book as they enjoyed the humour and rhyme in
it. They thought it is a good Christmas story. The book is suited
to younger readers than those involved in the book group and some
of the children found the story too short.
