This is the story of a ‘smart mouthed’ yet likeable orphan boy called Michael Monroe. As he is on his way by bus to yet another new boarding school, after he almost burned down his last school accidentally, Michael’s bus crashes in a freezing river. Heroically Michael saves the lives of all on board and by doing so comes to the attention of millionaire Dr. Jimmy Kincaid, founder of SOS.

Dr. Kincaid invites Michael to join his SOS team and Michael accepts his offer and so sets off on his first big adventure. However things do not turn out as planned and Michael and Katya, another young member of the team end up lost and stranded together in a blizzard in the Canadian Alps.

In a race against time with trying to locate a missing satellite for SOS and more importantly trying to save the life of their new friend Jordan who is also missing, Michael and Katya are faced with all sorts of obstacles along the way such as men with guns, hungry wolves and a gigantic polar bear who are all on the same trail.

It’s hard to see how they will ever get back safely to SOS base camp with all the danger lurking around.
