A wonderful
story of Walter and his zany family. His father is an inventor,
his mum an artist and his granddad a very talented wood carver who,
like Walter possesses the gift of “noitanigami” or imagination.
This
power can make people go backwards in time. It can only be used
to help others. Walter Speazlebud is a great read for young and
old children. It touches on topics such as learning difficulties,
bullying and old age.
The
book club gave it a mark of seven out of ten.
Favourite
characters: Walter’s father and granddad.
Favourite
scenes: Mum paints the house black and when Dad crashes his “loomobile”
on television. |
