Clare 2020, A Day in My Life
by Seamus Harold
Hi. I’m Seamus, the person who will be writing this story. My life begins in 2012 in Galway, but then we moved to Clare. We settled at the outskirts of Kilfenora. For a while we live at number 73.
When the Covid 19 arrived, the lockdown started in Ireland.
Everyone was sad. I couldn’t visit my friends. I started to play outside
on my own. This means to me that I cant go to my grandma and grandpa and for
my day, I am very sad.
Every day my mam prepares a school for us, what does this mean for you? Because
I love to do Maths, so for me, it feels good. At Mam school, we learned about
bees and huskeys and Brian Boru. We drove down Brian Boru’s road. We
crossed the bridge at Ballyclancahill. The road we were on was the one that
Brian used to get to the market in North Clare. We have climbed the lump.
The lump was on a big hill. I did a big run down the hill and fell head first
into the mud. It felt fun.
Another day in mammy school we builded a fairy path. The fairy path was all brambles and weeds, then we cleaned it up and made it a fairy path. The fairies moved in, they light up to show that they are there.
During the Covid 19 my favourite hero is my 2 grandmas and
1 grandpa. They help me by talking it through with me. I don’t know
when this will be over. I haven’t seen my granny Maura in 3 months.
They cant come out. They cant hug me. I really cant wait till this is over
to hug my 2 grannies and 1 grandpa and play with my friends.
I wish for you that you are well and get to hug your family soon.
