Class Novels Lending Scheme

Children’s Book Festival is celebrated in all libraries offering a varied and exciting programme of events each October for children at Primary School Level.
The festival has seen such esteemed children’s writers as Derek Landy, Darren Shan, Oisin McGann, Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick and Celine Kiernan visit County Clare in recent years.

Teen Week. Events for teenagers are also planned annually. Teen Week which takes place in March was established with a view to programming events specifically for students at second level schools in the county.

Clare County Library continues to offer advice to primary and post-primary schools on setting up school libraries and facilitates class visits on request at all of its branches.
