Spring into Storytime 2021
Spring Into Storytime 2021 Online Storytimes
Clare County Library’s annual Spring Into Storytime programme launches on April 1st each year and promises to bring the magic of storytime to homes across the county. Spring Into Storytime 2021 is happening online through Clare County Library’s website and social media channels. Throughout April and May you will find a wide range of virtual events and activities, all based around reading and listening to stories, which families and children of all ages can enjoy from home.
Reading with children and access to books has many important long-term benefits. Children who develop an interest in stories and reading have been found to have greater self-esteem and well-being, greater creativity and imagination, better social and health outcomes, and an overall better quality of life as they get older. The Spring into Storytime initiative is a creative way in which children’s literacy skills can be developed, and the whole family can develop a culture of reading and story making in the home.
